The fertile Hidden Lands have been cultivated jointly for generations by the inhabitants of the Elves, Dwarves, Humans, Halflings, and Mages, although they increasingly find themselves in bitter competition for the wealth and glory of their own people. Thus, the thousand-year peace threatens to break when the Goblin hordes from across the sea unleash a devastating surprise attack, and the peoples of the Hidden Lands cannot unite quickly enough to defend themselves. Some survivors flee by ship until they finally discover a new, unoccupied land on which they can rebuild their culture – Pandoria! The old rivalries remain, but perhaps this time their competition will not be their downfall. You take on the role of one of the five races, discovering new lands, founding cities, and harvesting resources. The races work together in peace, but cannot forget their historical rivalries. Expand the land and place figures to claim the resources you acquire. Each type of landscape produces a different resource once the area has been completed: crystals in the mountains, gold in the hills, wood in the forest, and glory points in the city. You need these resources to construct new buildings and monuments, cast powerful spells, and acquire new cards from the market. Buildings give you special advantages during the game, whereas spells only work once but are potentially all the more powerful. You gain glory by completing cities and through surplus resources. Will you go down in Pandoria's short history as the most glorious nation? Pandoria includes rules for the beginner-friendly beginner game, the partner game, and the extended rules for the regular game, in which the nations have individual abilities, offering a great deal of variety.
