“Challengers!” brings a tournament atmosphere: up to eight coaches put together teams from cards and pit them against each other in a duel. The seats at the table are swapped after each fight. Defeated cards go to the substitute bench, but space is limited. If you don't have any storage space or cards left, you have to admit defeat. Before the next encounter, the team strategy can be changed and adjusted by recruiting new recruits. With each tournament round, a maximum of two new cards may be added, but any number may be removed. Do we rely on lots of special effects that benefit each other or on pure demonstrations of power with high numerical values? The only thing that counts is the right mix, because after mixing the T-Rex, rubber duck and vacuum cleaner are on their own.
